I’m a joy powered web developer with tenacity of a software quality assurance engineer and exploratory spirit of a user. In my free time I learn how to use biomimicry, software and self help resources to treat PTSD and other mental illnesses. Check out my Self-Love project.
My thirst to speak to as many different people as possible has fueled my interest in foreign languages. Growing up in Russia I learned English, French, Spanish and Mandarin. Then I moved to China and afterwards to San Diego, CA. Living in multiple countries has made a tremendous impact on me. I've been able to communicate and exchange ideas with people from all over the world. Walking on the streets, observing lives, eating local food and having meaningful conversations helps me connect with millions of individuals.
An MA in Business Administration gave me some credibility along with often questionable general knowledge that I debunked afterwards. The formal higher education system heavily discouraged students from following our intuition aka being creators and contributors to the world. Some would say that we were too faulty to succeed as entrepreneurs. Huge props to my rhetoric professor who taught me the courage to be myself.
As a former choir singer, I have a deep appreciation for the power that music and art have to move us as human beings. I enjoy creating abstract paintings, watching inclusive comedy, following (and starting) social movements, walking alongside the ocean in San Diego, taking Pilates classes, listening and supporting outstanding people on Youtube, going to tech and science meetups that model democracy in education, volunteering with my code and other skills, taking fascinating online classes, learning screen writing and creating powerful speeches. I try to have a lot of fun all day, everyday...whatever I do.
